Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
In this companion novel to Anna and the French Kiss, two teens discover that true love may be closer than they think.
For budding costume designer Lola Nolan, the more outrageous the outfit—more sparkly, more fun, more wild—the better. But even though Lola’s style is outrageous, she’s a devoted daughter and friend with some big plans for the future. And everything is pretty perfect (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the dreaded Bell twins move back into the house next door.
When the family returns and Cricket—a gifted inventor and engineer—steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.

I’m not usually excited for contemporary novels but this will be one of the few that I am looking very much forward to reading! After I fell in love with Anna and the French Kiss I will read this one without a doubt. I can’t wait for September to get any closer!

I picked LOLA too! I loved ANNA and really can’t wait for this one. I must have it!
i can’t wait for this too!!
I want this book. NOW. I need more cute romance in my life. <3
I’m usually not excited for contemporary YA novels either, but Anna and the French Kiss really won me over. That and Jenny Han’s books. One of the editors I work with is shocked at how much I like Jenny Han and now Steph Perkins, cause she has heard me rant and rave about YA romance a lot. I guess I’m just picky, or very hard to please. But anyway….yes! New Stephanie Perkins book! Can’t wait!
Hmmmmm…. Are Jenny Han’s book really that great? My younger sister reads them, but I don’t know if it’s for me. I think I’ll only pick up the series if someone swears that it is as close to being as great as Anna.
I read Jenny Han before I picked up Anna. I don’t think I would have ever picked the Jenny Han books if it wasn’t for book club. I found myself really caring about the characters and what happened to them. And I’ll venture to say: greater than Anna.
