Wasting Away

Hey everyone! I just wanted to give a quick update site-wise. First of all, I wanted to give a big thanks to Helene of cryingforest.net for making this amazing font for me. :) It’s my handwriting! So now instead of relying on those terrible scans of my handwritten blogs, I can just use my own font!

Secondly, I want you all to give a warm welcome to my new hostee Emily of veritaserum.sectumsempra.org I’m very happy to have her on board.

I’ll try to get a few more scans/stocks up today or at least try to finish another fanlisting. I now own four lovely fanlistings found at thepensieve.info and two more upcoming. If you’re a fan of any of them, don’t hesitate to join!

Interesting idea: Would anyone be interested in sending me cool scans of paper that they’ve chanced upon in exchange of a plug for the blog that paper is used? I thought it would be cool to see what people would send me.

In terms of real life, I’ve been cooped up at home for far too long. I’ve been meaning to get out but Sunny is at the beach and I’m permanently on babysitting duty. I’m still planning on seeing a Broadway show so I somehow must find cash for that. My summer is wasting away. But for once, I’m spending a lot more time with my nose buried in a book (more electronically, than an actual book though). Not that I’m reading anything substantial… I really don’t care for classics.

What’s the last book you’ve read?

  1. Wait… you previously physically wrote your blogs, scan them, typed them and then posted them? Wow. You must have had a load of time on your hands to do that! It is great that now you have your own font! And ouch, baby sitting duty. Babies are cool and all, but for a long period of time, I just go crazy. I like kids that are around kindergarten age, they are just so funny sometimes.

The last book that I have read is more targeted towards adults, work and productivity, nothing really interesting. It is called Getting Things Done by David Allen. But before that I read Blindness by Jose Saramano.

  2. I like this new layout. It’s vintage-esque! : )

I love your handwriting. It’s way neater than mine. Mine is big and close together : |

What book are you reading? Books are good. The last book I actually read and finished was, City Of Bones. It was so good! Right now, I am in the process of reading Harry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire. I read Harry Potter books when I’m bored. But i have a lot of other books that I need to read. Like, Brisingr, Inkdeath, Skinned, City Of Ashes, and New Moon. I multi-task a lot, so that means that I can read 2 or 3 books at a time, aha ;P

My summer is starting to waste away too, I spend a lot of my time lately inside too!

  3. Wooot for the handwriting! Haha your lucky I’ve always wanted to actually make some of my handwritten fonts into an actual font, ah well.

  4. I love your layout :D
Gah, my summer is wasting a way too. All my friends are suddenly busy or out with other people @: So i just sit at home or train all day.
    Thanks so much :)

  5. I’m back! But now you’re busy. :( I want to do our movie marathon and I want to see Billy Elliot. We should organize both of those. I also want to go shopping in the city (Zara, here I come!).

PS. Maybe sometime this week, I’ll actually start using the blog you made me!

  6. thats pretty awesome!!! the font is cute too ;3

that is a cool idea! but..i dont have interesting stationary papers of any sort, lol. i used to have lots of those Blue Bear and Hello Kitty papers, hahaha

go out! dont stay home ;3

last book i read…I’m reading The Night Listener. I kinda just started, but my friend says its good ;3

  7. 1 litre of tears. Sad sad story ):

Amazing layout btw. I think this is one of the few sites I’ve seen in a while with a jaw dropping collage of graphics.
