A weekly meme on the books on the top of my list to read and books recently acquired, borrowed, or bought. Inspired by the Story Siren’s In My Mailbox.
I knew it I’d be behind… After a full day of internship, I can’t really get myself to pick up a book and read after reading for eight hours. Since I am camping this weekend (this post has been scheduled), I hope to get all my reading done. So I’m going to be optimistic and say that I have no leftovers this weekend! Didn’t have time to finish and schedule this post. As it turned out, I ended up different books rather than the ones on my list. I have leftovers. Again. Boo.
Lucky me, I qualify for a New York Public Library card so I am now able to download ebooks from their website! Yay! I put a lot of books on hold that I have been looking forward to reading such as The Body Finder and Beautiful Creatures.
Top of the Shelf
What’s next on my to-read list for the upcoming week. To make my to-read list a little more interesting and varied, each of the four books must fall under a certain category:
For the Story Must Go On… – Books part of a series.
A Touch of Tendre – Romance novels.
Young at Heart – Young adult novel.
Not Your Sister’s Book – Adult novel that a six-year-old wouldn’t touch
Market Fresh – Recently released or soon to be released book.
- For the Story Must Go On… – Perfect Fifths by by Megan McCafferty and Mortal Engines by Philip Reeve. Leftovers from last week.
- A Touch of Tendre – This Duchess of Mine by Eloisa James. Borrowed from the library.
- Young at Heart – The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart. Borrowed from the NYPL ebook library.
- Not Your Sister’s Book – Skipping this category this week cause of all the leftovers.
- Market Fresh – How to Make a Bird by Martine Murray. Snagged from internship.
Snagged from Internship
- Airhead by Meg Cabot – I already read this, but I didn’t have a copy until now.
Closing remarks: A little over 24 hours left to enter my EVERLASTING GIVEAWAY. Also I have read 89 out of 100 books this year! My updated goal is to reach the 100 mark before the release of Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins!
Have a great reading week!
