A weekly meme on the books on the top of my list to read and books recently acquired, borrowed, or bought. Inspired by the Story Siren’s In My Mailbox.
Top of the Shelf / Currently Reading
What’s next on my to-read list for the upcoming week. I have to read a pretty long manuscript for class this week, so realistically speaking, I can probably finish only one other book this week. I still have not finished reading Glow since it got bumped down due to other books I got this week.
Bought
I bought a ton of books this week (okay, not really a ton but this is a lot for me since I am a -ahem – poor college student). I made a trip to the Strand and two trips to Books of Wonder.
YES. That’s right. I really hate to brag (but I make an exception in this case)… but I FOUND A COPY OF LOLA AND THE BOY NEXT DOOR in the wild!!! Stephanie Perkins’s sophomore novel was in stock at the Strand earlier this week. I bought the only copy they had. I already read it and I could not be any happier. The best part? I got it for $8.50. You can’t/em> beat the Strand!
Close to four minutes. I still need to read Anna, which I need to do soon…
WTH. Darla you need to read it NOW!
Every You, Every Me sounds pretty amazing and I feel like the only person who hasn’t read GLOW yet!
Happy reading!

Ah, I’m STILL reading Glow. It’s taking me a while to finish it.
Thanks for stopping by.
A Lola copy in the wild? That’s so funny. And so lucky that you found it! Congrats! I preordered my copy…(waits , and waits, and waits…)
Eeep, I hope you get it soon!
L-l-l-LOLA! You’re so right, you can’t beat that price of $8.50. Whenever I make it out to NYC, I definitely plan to pay a visit to the Strand.
I have Ashes from last week from the LAPL, but I don’t know…I feel strangely nervous about reading it. Still, I don’t even know if I’ll get to it before it expires…eeks!
Yes! Definitely pay the Strand a visit… And me!
Eeep. I keep putting off reading Ashes as well.
I’m just never in the mood to read it, you know?
