Home sweet home. I am blogging for the first time at the new house! Thank goodness the internet was easy to set up. I love having a Mac. Once the wireless was set up, I only had to plug in my Mac, turn it on, type in the password, and get connected! It was so painless. Fortunately, the unpacking that I have been doing has been taking up a lot less time than it took to pack. Funny how that goes. It took a week and a half to pack the entire house, and it’s been two days and we’re almost done. The house is looking quite cozy, minus the living room’s lack of furniture. The new sofa set should becoming in soon, I think.
I have been itching to do something productive. I have been so restless. I will take a break from reading occasionally to try and unpack something, only to get bored of doing so and go back to reading. What I really want to do is unpack my books. It’s really aggravating when I can’t since I still don’t have bookshelves. I long to alphabetize them in shelves and just stare at the spines once the task has been complete.I really hope that they do not remain in boxes for endless weeks.
I am currently reading The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. I don’t usually go for adult fiction (except romance), but I’ve heard a lot about this book so I decided to give it a try. I’m really loving it so far. I’m about a quarter of the way in. It makes me think what author could possibly compared to Vita Winter. Rowling? Though she is an author of children’s literature. Since I’m not that familiar with adult fiction, it’s hard for me to come up with a comparison.
Speaking of books, I am very excited for the Linger release. I enjoyed Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater very much (much to my surprise), and this trailer for the sequel made me pumped for it even more. I was very shocked on how good it was. Maggie Stiefvater is so creative. I can’t believe she did all this by hand – and recorded the accompanying music! Wow.
