A weekly meme on the books on the top of my list to read. Inspired by the Story Siren’s In My Mailbox.
Expectations
- Gone by Michael Grant – One of those books that I’ve seen so often in the bookstore. I finally looked it up on GoodReads. After reading the summary, it reminded me of a book I read at school (and actually enjoyed): Lord of the Flies. That convinced me to put it in my to-read.
- The Whiskey Rebels by David Liss – One of the two books I picked out for Fourth of July reading. It looks like one of those books that takes the history really seriously. The length is daunting!
- The Red Umbrella by Christina Diaz Gonzalez- I picked up a signed copy of this book last week at Books of Wonder and met the author. Still haven’t gotten around to reading it.
- It’s In His Kiss by Julia Quinn – “Light reading”
- Green Angel by Alice Hoffman – This book has been sitting in my to-read pile for too long. I think it’s about time I got around to reading it.
