PS I Still Love You by Jenny HanP.S. I STILL LOVE YOU by Jenny Han Book Review
Series: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, #2
Publication Date: Date
Rating: – Exceeds Expectations |

Book Summary: Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter.
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?

In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that’s part of what makes it so amazing.

Book Review Overview:

  • Lara Jean is my spirit animal
  • I can’t get enough of the Song sisters!
  • Not as good as the first book, but still a satisfying read

I bought a book! An actual hardcover book! Despite wanting to support the publishing industry, I admit I’m a huge fan of the library. So you know it’s a big deal when I actually buy a copy of a book. After months of waiting, I finally got to read P.S. I STILL LOVE YOU by Jenny Han, the sequel to To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny HanTO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE by Jenny Han Book Review
Series: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, #1
Publication Date: April 15th 2014 by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers
Rating: – Exceeds Expectations |

Book Summary: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister’s ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

Book Review Overview:

  • I love the Song girls
  • One of the few love triangles / love squares that I don’t have a problem with
  • Looking forward to the sequel! I want it NOW!!!

First of all, let me just say that TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE by Jenny Han must be some kind of amazing to bring me back from the blogging dead.

I took advantage of the e-book sale and bought a copy for $1.99. I don’t usually buy e-books (libraries, not piracy) but I’ve been putting off from reading this book way too long. Despite the great reviews from other fellow bloggers, I have to admit that I was still skeptical before picking up the book. As you may recall, I had a love/hate relationship with Jenny Han’s previous series. Much to my surprise, TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE by Jenny Han completely blew me away. After reading so many Jenny Han books, this is the first book that I’ve really, really enjoyed.

Sinner by Maggie StiefvaterSINNER by Maggie Stiefvater Book Review
Series: The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #3.5
Publication Date: July 1st 2014 by Scholastic Press
Rating: – Exceeds Expectations |

Book Summary: Sinner follows Cole St. Clair, a pivotal character from the #1 New York Times bestselling Shiver Trilogy. Everybody thinks they know Cole’s story. Stardom. Addiction. Downfall. Disappearance. But only a few people know Cole’s darkest secret — his ability to shift into a wolf. One of these people is Isabel. At one point, they may have even loved each other. But that feels like a lifetime ago. Now Cole is back. Back in the spotlight. Back in the danger zone. Back in Isabel’s life. Can this sinner be saved?

Book Review Overview:

  • It’s been a while since I read Forever, but I was able to jump into SINNER without getting lost
  • Cole and Isabel still have kick-ass chemistry
  • Couldn’t put it down

I fangirled when I first heard about SINNER by Maggie Stiefvater. The ending of Forever had left me aching for more Isabel/Cole, and I was a little bummed out that their ending had been so open. Luckily, Maggie Stiefvater had blessed me with this companion novel in which Cole St. Clair returns to Los Angeles to find Isabel Culpeper. But returning to LA also means returning to his rock star lifestyle – the lifestyle that ultimately had led to his downfall. Cole returns to the spotlight despite the risks in order to also return to Isabel’s life.

Don't worry, Roza. I'm not afraid. I'll take whatever heat they give me over being with you. It's worth it.
